Peeblesshire Archaeological Society was formed in 1994 with its main aims being:
- to stimulate public interest in the history and archaeology, principally of Tweeddale, but also further afield
- to encourage the preservation of features of general historic and archaeological interest
- to promote archaeological recording, excavation and publication
- to pursue these aims by fieldwork, meetings, exhibitions, lectures, publications, publicity and other appropriate actions
If you are interested in the past why not come and join us? We offer members the chance to participate in a wide range of activities including, excavation and archaeological survey. We also provide a comprehensive lecture programme and access to expert-lead field trips. No previous experience is necessary and new members will be made especially welcome.
